Jacobean Tree
The Jacobean Tree sampler features a modern interpretation of a classic embroidery technique. Throughout this project, embroiderers will learn various stitches, including trellis patterns, bullion knots, french knots, wheat sheafs, long and short stitch, padded satin stitch, block shading, buttonhole stitch, heavy chain, cable stitch, stem stitch, coral stitch, Portuguese knotted stem stitch, leaf stitch, woven wheels, buttonhole picots, fly stitch, pistil stitch, and raised stem stitch.
The design is worked onto traditional linen twill, utilising naturally dyed crewel wool sourced from Renaissance Dyeing. With a height of approximately 8 inches, it fits perfectly within a 10-inch hoop, making it an ideal project for both beginners and experienced embroiderers seeking to enrich their skills.
